  • Youth Hostels Association of India has been organizing People from the poles apart cultures and regions participate in our budgeted trekking adventures. A large number these programs. As a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration of YHAI National Trekking camping Program for the families of our volunteer camp leaders and other success of this adventure and, on the request of our members we repeated this 2012. This year again, we are organizing the Kullu-Manali, Himachal Pradesh.
  • Who can Participate: Any YHAI member can participate on first come first serve bases. A family consists of husband, wife and two children the children between age 10 to 12 years must be attached with application forms or must be submitted at the time of reporting at the Base Camp. A single person does not constitute a family and shall not be registered for the camp. Parent of very small children should arrange for their bottle feed.
  • Participation Fee : Participation fee is Rs.3800/- for a family consisting of husband, wife and two children up to the age of 12 years. The fee shall remain the same even if no children accompany. Rs. 900/ two children, and children above 12 years, per additional family member.
  • Reporting dates : Arrangement has been made to accommodate 50 families on each of the following dates : 24th April, 29th April, 04th May, 09th May 14th May, 19th May 08th June, 24th May 29th May 03rd June
  • Duration : The program begins on 24th April 2013 at the Youth Hostel- Seobagh, Manali, Himachal Pradesh, as base camp. Family can report at the base camp on any of the above mentioned dates, after getting your seats confirmed. The duration of the camp for each family is 4 nights and 5 days. Reporting is before lunch on the 1st day and departure after breakfast on the 5th day. Extra stay is subjected to the availability of accommodation, on payment.
  • Where to Report : Youth Hostel- Seobagh is 3kms from Kullu and on the left of the banks of meandering river Beas, near Jairu Mineral Water plant. It is linked by road via Ram Shila & Gamon Bridge, and commands a panoramic view of surrounding mountains. Regular bus services are available for Kullu from Delhi, Chandigarh & Punjab. The nearest Railway Stations are Ambala & Chandigarh & the nearest Airport is Bhuntar.
  • Schedule : During the stay at the camp, campers may visit Manali (40k) Kullu (3kms), Manikaran hot water spring (53kms), snow point beyond Manali and enroute Rohtang Pass. Buses are available from Seobagh Youth Hostel. All sightseeing shall be at your own cost. Our volunteers may help you in planning your
  • What you should bring : Woolens, cotton clothes, walking shoes, raincoat, cold cream/Vaseline, personal first aid kit, towel, sheets, lunch box (for packed lunch) and medicines that you normally use at home.
  • How to Apply : Members desirous of joining this program prescribed may apply online through our website www.yhaindia.org or by a prescribed registration form duly supported by a Medical Certificate, along with a DD of requisite amount in favor of "Youth Hostels Association of India" payable at New Delhi. Members can also apply through the State Branch or Local Unit of YHAI.
