  • Youth Hostels Association of India has been organizing adventure activity programmes for the last 40 years.Thousand of youth from all the parts of the country have participate and enjoyed these well-run and economical trekking adventures. This year's YHAI Rajsthan State Branch are organizing NATIONAL FAMILY DESERT ADVENTURE CAMPING JAISALMER (RAJ.)- 2013 in the Jaisalmer region of the great Thar Desert of Rajsthan.
  • Organised by : YHAI, Rajsthan State Branch.
  • Who you can participate: A Family consists of husband, wife and two children up to the age of 12 years. Participation is open to the families of the following categories of YHAI members in order of preference. A single person does not constitute a family and shall not be registered for this camp, parent of very small children should arrange for their bottle feed.
  • Fees : Rs. 4100 for the entire family of 2 + 2 i.e. Husband + wife and Two children up to age 12. for additional child or above aged child just pay Rs.1000=00 extra. Payment of fees by DD, to YHAI Rajasthan State Branch, payable at Jaisalmer.You can deposit fees in our bank account.   • Reporting Dates : 1st Prog. - Dipawali Vacation for Three group. 1st Group : 6th Nov.2013 and last Group: 16th Nov.2013. AND 2nd Prog. New Year Time - 1st Group : 20th Dec.2013 and last Group: 16th Nov.2013.
  • Duration :The duration of the camp for each family is 4 nights and 5 days. Reporting before lunch on 1st day and departure after breakfast on 5th day.
  • Where to Report : Base camp for the programme is established in the Border Home Guards Ground, Jaisalmer, 2 Km from Bus Stand & 4 Km from Railway Station
  • Accommodation : One tent shall be given to each family. Mattresses and blankets shall be provided. Family should bring their own bed sheets
  • Food : Morning tea ,breakfast ,packed lunch, evening tea(in the camp),dinner and after dinner tea/coffee shall be provided .Simple vegetarian, good quality nutritious food shall be served at the camp, please bring your own plates, mugs, spoons, Tiffin box for packed lunch etc.
  • Note : Special Rajasthani dishes in Dinner. Example : Dal Bati, Churma, Bajara Roti, Ker Sangari, Sweet Panchdhari, Bason Burffi.
  • Schedule: During the stay at the camp, Family may visit Glden Fort, Jain Temple, Royal Palce, Badal Vilas, Salim Sing Haveli, Nathumal Haveli, Gadisar Lake, Patwa Haveli, Amar Sagar, Cenotaps of Royal Family(5km), Ludarva Jain Temple(6Km), Heritage village Kuldhara(16km), Khabha(35km), Sam & Khuri Sand Dunes(45km), Akal wood foosil park(16km), Bhadari Temple & Lib(75km), Pokharan fort & Haveli(110km), Ramdevra Baba Ramdev Temple (110km) & great Tonot Boerde Temple (120km). All sight-seeing shall be at your cost. Our volunteers may help you in planning your programme.
