WILD ASS SANCTURY NATURE EDUCATION CUM TREKKING CAMP :
Organised by : YHAI DRANGANDHRA UNIT- Gujarat State.
Details : Wild ass Sanctuary is located on the edge of little Rann of Kutch which is an extension of the Rann of Kutch onto Saurashtra.It is located just 90 kms north-west of Ahmedabad and thus making it an ideal weekend getaway. It is visited for the Wild Ass, which is a rarely found in the wild and also for migratory birds that are spotted in nearby swamps and marshlands.
Date : 1st Batch : 14/02/2009 to 15/02/2009 (Saturday-Sunday)
2nd Batch : 15/02/2009 to 16/02/2009 (Sunday- Monday)
3rd Batch : 16/02/2009 to 17/02/2009 (Monday-Tuesday)
Reporting Place : Malvan ( Essar Petrol Pump) 90 km from Ahmedabad, 12 km from Bajana and 36km from Surendranagar.
Programme : 1st Day 10.30AM Reporting at Malvan (Essar Petrol Pump) or Bajana Wild Ass Sanctuary area 11.00AM Transfer to camp site through Camel cart 13.30PM Lunch 15.30PM Trekking to Wild ass Sanctuary 20.00 Sky gazing.
2nd Day 6.00 to 8.00 AM Bird Watching 8.00 to 8.30 AM Breakfast 8.30 AM onwards visit to different island of wild ass Sanctuary 5.00 PM Tea break and departure.
Registration Fee: RS. 500/
Things to be carry with you : Water bottle, Lunchbox, Torch, cloth, towel, Blanket etc.
