Family Adventure Camping Dalhousie -2010 - (Organise by : YHAI Gujarat State Branch)
YHAI - Gujarat State Branch is organising State level Family Adventure Camping in the Dalhousie region of western Himalaya for last few years. On a popular demand from our Gujarat State YHAI members, we are ones again organising this Family camping for the benifit of our members who are not in a position to participate in the trekking but would like to be the part of adventure along with families and friends.
Who can Participate : A family consists of husband, wife and two children upto the age of 12 years. A single person does not constitute a family and shall not be registered for this camp.
Participation Fee : Participation Fee Rs. 3000/- for a family consists of husband, wife and two children upto the age of 12 years. The fee shall remain the same even if no children accompany. Rs.750/- will be charged for more than two children or other adult members.
Reporting Date : Arrangement has been made to accommodate 30 famillies on each of the following dates :
(i) 28th Oct. 2010 - 1st Batch (5 Day & 4 Night )
(ii )10th Nov. 2010 - 2nd Batch (5 Day & 4 Night)
Duration : The duration of the camp for each family is 5 Day & 4 Night. Reporting before lunch on 1st day and departure after breakfast on 5th day. All sight-seeing shall be at your own cost. Our volunteers may help you in planning your programme.
Where To Report : Youth Hostel - Dalhousie. (Himachal Pradesh) :
Food : Morning tea, breakfast, lunch / packed lunch, evening tea and Dinner shall be provided. Simple vegetarian, good quality nutritious food shall be served at the hostel.

Dear Trekkers & Routine Breakers,
Once the Monsoon begins, Trekkers can not spend their holidays just sitting at Home. The rains are playing hide and seek. Mother Earth is covered in a coat of lush green everywhere you go. So doesn't it make for the best time to go Trekking? Hell Yeah it does! So get ready to enjoy lush green forest & mountains, pouring rain, pleasing breeze and panorama of Shulpaneshwar wild life sanctury. Lets gear up to join ‘YHAI Bharuch Unit Monsoon Trek ’ on yet another venture. . . . .We are glad to announce a "Trek to Barkhadi" on 15th August 2010 near Shulpaneshwar wild life sanctury region.(With help from Deputy Conservator of Forest, East part, Rajpipla) It is also the Best for Beginners!
Some Information regarding the BARKHADI Trek : The area is a popular destination for trekkers from Bharuch & Narmada District, its a different kind because on this trek where you start a trek with a Descend, climb up to end the trek. kind of Opposite of regular treks. During the monsoons, beautiful waterfalls – small and big, are seen along the route. where we will be spending at least 1 hour before starting our back journey.
The schedule for the trek will be as follows:
Date : 15th August 2010 - Sunday
Program Fee is Rs.330/- inclusive of transportation from Bharuch to Bharuch by Bus, Morning breakfast +tea/coffee, Packed lunch, Afternoon tea, Forest entry fee, Guide fee etc.
Program Fee is Rs.170/- inclusive Morning breakfast + tea/coffee, Packed lunch, Afternoon tea, Forest entry fee, Guide fee etc., for other unit members with their own transportation from Home to reporting camp and back
Schedule of Trek : First Pickup Point : Bharuch Railway Station West Side Booking Office at 06.00 , Second Pickup Point : GNFC Township at 6.10 AM ,We shall have Breakfast at Rajpipla and begin our trek at 9.00 a.m. Conquer the Barkhadi at 12..00 and have Lunch. Explore the forest, Have bath in waterfall, take pictures, and soak in the beauty! Descend begins at 2 ish. Reach the base by 3.00 and start for Bharuch via Rajpipla ( Afternoon Tea break). We should ideally be back to Bharuch by 6.30 p.m.
Trek duration : Modarate Trek of 6 KM upto Barkhadi and 3 Km back to reporting place for Group No.1 and Easy Trek of 3 KM upto Barkhadi and 3 Km back to reporting place for Group No. 2 (As per participant choice)
Grade : Easy for group No.1 and Medium for Group No. 2
Registration starts from : 25th July 2010 on first come first base ( only 56 Participant) YHAI BHARUCH Unit Members will be given first preference for each programme and second preference will be to YHAI Members of any other unit and non members will be considered thereafter.

PAWAGARH TREK ON 15-11-2009 ( only for the rough and tough trekkers.)
DETAILED PROGRAMME

• 7.45 am Reporting at Bus stand (Chapaner ) Taleti pawagarh8.00 am Shifting from Bus depo. to Ghodi Village.
• 8.15 am Trek 7.00 k.m. from Ghodi to pawagarh (near the top)
• 12.30 noon Lunch at hotel Champaner at Machhi.
• 1.30 noon Group Break after lunch.This is very beautiful and unique trek.

Pawagarh is always trekker’s paradise for Barodians. Here you can enjoy the clear views of the back side of pawagarh never seen before; you can click very good photographs. This is moderate trek for regular trekkers, but tough for the others.

• Fees Rs.150=00 for members, Rs. 250=00 for others.This includes your local transportation, guide fees and lunch etc.
• Things To Bring : Water bottles of minimum 2 liters for 7 KM trek, Sun Glasses, Walking Shoes which are comfortable to you, Camera, Binocular, personal items if required AND OF COURSE GOOD MOOD & HIGH SPIRIT.IMPORTANT
• NOTE :
• . Report at Bus Stand after having Break fast etc. We will provide lunch only.
• Trekking is not a picnic, It's Adventure Sports activity and you are participating at your risk.
