National Family Adventure Camping- Goa, 2013

• ABOUT THE PROGRAM : The participants will enjoy with family, an adventurous stay in the tents for 4 nights & 5 days. They will visit all the important tourists spots of Goa through the conducted tours. One can also join the river cruise in the River Mandovi. Goa State Branch of Youth Hostels Association of India is organising Family Camping for the benefit of our members who are not in a position to participate in the trekking but would like to be the part of adventure along with families and friends.
• HOW TO REACH : The base camp is located at Sports Authority Ground, Near Miramar Beach, Panaji Goa. The nearest railway stations are Thivim (25Kms), Karmali (12 km) and Margao (33km.). State bus service is available. Direct bus service is also available from Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore & Mangalore. Direct trains are available from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and major cities of India.
• PROGRAM FEE : Rs 4000/- per family. 40 families on each reporting day.
• REPORTING DATES : 11, 16, 21, 26, 31 Dec 2013 & 5 Jan 2014.
• WHO CAN PARTICIPATE : Any member of the association with their families.
• HOW TO JOIN : Members desirous of joining the programme may apply on a prescribed Registration Form. Photocopies of the forms are acceptable. Form should be sent along with draft or at par payable cheques of participation fee or book online.
• ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES : One Tent per family with bedding & blankets.
• FOOD & WATER SUPPLIES : Unlimited Simple nutritious Vegetarian food.

• National Goa Biking Expedition 2013 :

• Equipments Provided by YHAI : Geared Bike, Helmet & Ruck Sacks. Every group will be accompanied with an Motorbike carrying a guide to show the way and an expert cycle mechanic in case of breakdown.
• Participants will have to bike an average distance of 45 Kms [6 hrs] per day on an uneven terrain with nominal slopes. Therefore kindly ensure perfect fitness before joining the expedition. • Family Adventure Camping Dalhousie -2013

• Date : 11th Nov. 2013 to 15 Nov. 2013 ( 5 Day & 4 Night)
• YHAI - Gujarat State Branch is organising State level Family Adventure Camping in the Dalhousie region of western Himalaya for last few years. On a popular demand from our Gujarat State YHAI members, we are ones again organising this Family camping for the benifit of our members who are not in a position to participate in the trekking but would like to be the part of adventure along with families and friends.
• Who can Participate : A family consists of husband, wife and two children upto the age of 12 years. A single person does not constitute a family and shall not be registered for this camp.
• Participation Fee : Participation Fee Rs. 3500/- for a family consists of husband, wife and two children, in which stay, food, activities(Rappelling & Rivercrossing) & one Momento per family included. ( Rs.900/- will be charged for more than two children or other adult members)
• Reporting Date : Arrangement has been made to accommodate 25 famillies on following dates : 11th Nov. 2013 : Only One Batch (5 Day & 4 Night )
• Duration : The duration of the camp for each family is 5 Day & 4 Night. Reporting before lunch on 1st day and departure after breakfast on 5th day. All sight-seeing shall be at your own cost. Our volunteers may help you in planning your programme.

• Dalhousie : In western Himachal Pradesh, the hill station of Dalhousie is full of old world charm and holds lingering echos of the 'RAJ'. It covers an area of about 14 sq. km. and is built of five hills Kathlog, Patreyn, Tehra, Bakrota and Balun. it is named after the British governor General of the 19th century, Lord Dalhousie. The town's heights varies between ,525m and 2,378ml, and it is surrounded by varied vegetation-pines, deodars, oaks and flowering rhododendron. Dalhousie has charming colonial architecture, including some beautiful churches. Its location presents panoramic views of the plains- and like a long silver line, the river Ravi twists and turns below Dalhousie. The spectacular snow-covered Dhauladhar mountains are also visible form this enchanting town.
• KHAJJIAR : Often called India's Switzerland, the exquisite glade of Khajjiar (1960m) has a circumference of about 5 km. Along its fringes, thick forests of deodar climb the slopes, the snow-line rests above these woods and in the centre of the glade, is a small lake fed by streams that traverse the green carpet. At Khajjiar there is a 12th century temple dedicated to Khajjair. Within the temple are lifesize wooden images of the five Pandav brothers.
• CHAMBA : Chamba town (915m). stands on the right bank of the river Ravi. As a former princely State, it is one of the oldest in the century and dates back to the sixth century. It is well known for its splendid architecture and as the base for numerous excursions. It is also a district headquarters.

• Gujarat is the unique State of India Having longest seashore, border touches Pakistan, rich Cultural heritage, leading roll in religious activities, developed industrial zone, Number one in Diamond Industries & cotton corps, many birds – animals – marine sanctuaries people are loving and enjoying every festival (Famous for Navratri garba) .We try to explore the soul of Asiatic Lions as per last census 411 Lions are residing in total area (1412sq km) Sasan Gir with many other animals and birds. Adjoning historical places like Mount Girnar in Junagadh as well Somnath Temple (Jyotirling) on sea shore of Arabian Sea. We Youth Hostels Association of India, Gujarat State Branch with help of Forest Department as well Youth Activities & Services Departments of Gujarat Government invite you to take part in our programme, the programme is conducted second time this year by one of the most our active Bhavnagar Unit.
• Purpose of the Programme : The purpose of the programme is to expose the YHAI member to a greater adventure and to rough out the rigours of plodding through forest with the sense of  love for Nature and outdoor recreation activity aiming at promoting National Integration.
